Along with our Founder, we are a team who share the same passion and drive for making an impactful difference. Our daily focus is around locating and opening water wells in communities that find it difficult, sometimes impossible, to access clean water. We also look to help those that find themselves in a never-ending spiral of financial burdens and inevitable debt.
Our Foundation not only seeks to assist but also enable communities and people to become more sustainable for their future. This enlightening journey has always been an emotional roller-coaster for us, conjured up many tears, laughter and rewarding joy. Yet, at the end of the day, there is nothing more fulfilling then seeing your efforts pay off once you have helped make a difference in someone’s life.
We know that there are some exciting times ahead as we have just built our very first well in Tzaneen, Limpopo! We will never forget this culture rich community that embraced our arrival with a traditional ceremonial song and dance. We began the day with a Water Walk down to their only source of water to find that it was completely dried up (they currently relied on water drops from their municipality). Helping this community access a sustainable water source fed our drive to help communities just like this one, in the near future.
Through our #PayMyBills initiative the Foundation has helped three families so far and we are currently in the process of selecting a candidate for the month of April. We know that it would be impossible to assists all South Africans with their financial burdens so that’s why we want to encourage you to never lose hope and keep on persevering. So, to help you plan for a better future, we want to encourage you to continue following our pages and look out for future blog posts that contain tips & tricks on how to best manage your finances and debt- written by our very own expert Forum.
We look forward to sharing our journey with you and we hope that this would inspire and entice others to do the same.
Until our next post…
Love from the QVDB Foundation team
